Liberal Position

Liberals do not believe inflation can be controlled and it is a world wide phenomenum. It is also beleive that inflation is the price we have to pay to save the planet from Climate Change.  Instead of pointing the finger at excessive spending, energy policy and regulation, they blame the inflation on greedy corporations raising prices to cover costs. 

Liberals believe that inflation is "Transitory" which means that it goes up and it will come back down.  in the last 4 years inflation has not come down, it has averaged over 5.5% and got as high at 9%.  Cumulatively, it is over 20%.   The truth is that the costs of essentials including groceries has gone up more than 20%. 

Since energy is key, the Biden/Harris Administration has been tapping the Strategic Oil Reserves to flood the market with oil that we hold in these Reserves, necessary for our protection in case of a military event. This is artificially keeping the gas and oil prices lower than they would otherwise be. 

Vice President Kamala Harris has promised to go after greedy corporations to reduce the impact of inflation.

Conversative Position

Conservatives understand that inflation is a result of too much Government spending, energy policy and too much regulation.  President Donald Trump and the Republicans have plans to immediately reverse this inflation by opening up the national oil leases, reducing spending, eliminating regulations that are forcing companies to raise prices.   They will stop spending money on 10+ million of Illegal Aliens that are getting food and shelter currently.  Also, there will be a reduction in the amount of money being sent to other countries.

The America First policy focuses on fixing problems in America before sending our tax dollars to other countries, including addressing homeless Americans, energy costs, inflation and crime.
