Should you Vote Red or Blue?

Issue Summary
Compare and contrast the positions between Liberals and Conservatives to be better informed and smarter. This site contains links to supporting resources. If you feel that information is not accurate or needs additional perspective, feel free to send an email to impartial@voteredorblue.org. General positions are listed below, but click on the links in the menu to read each link.

Liberal Position

Equal economic opportunity and a base social safety net provided by the welfare state and strong labor unions have historically been at the heart of Democratic economic policy. The party pursues a mixed economy, albeit with more government intervention, higher taxes and regulation in the economy.

Democrats generally support a progressive tax system, higher minimum wages, social security, universal health care, public education, and public housing. They also support infrastructure development and government-sponsored health care.

Democrats believe in abortion on demand even through the third trimester.

Democrats believe in strong gun control.

To Democrats the constitution is a living breathing document that must change as the world changes.

Liberal supports include Wall Street and Hollywood actors and actresses.

Conservative Position

Conservatives are strong constitutionalist. They believe in the constitution and all the rights guaranteed in it.  They believe in individual rights and guaranteeing rights to pursue health, wealth and happiness with minimal government intervention.  Individual responsibility and strong family values are the cornerstone of the Conservative belief system.  The statement "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish, you can feed him for a lifetime, " is the perspective of Conservatives.

A child born and raised with a two parent household is better off than a single parent families.

Conservatives believe in smaller government and lower taxes, allowing people to keep more of what they earn.  Each time a tax cut is put into place for corporations it results in an economic boom that benefits all in the workforce.

Conservatives represent the working man and woman and not the Hollywood elites or wall street Titans.

If you have any questions or additional information you wish to have us consider to post on the website, please send both liberal and conservative perspectives to impartial@voteredorblue.org. It is not enough to simply email one side or the other as that will not be considered.
